Andrea & The Bad Wolves

Andrea & the bad wolves

Oregon’s only Welsh folk revival band. Andrea Wild & The Bad Wolves perform Welsh language songs and traditional Welsh tunes. Repertoire also includes Cornish folk songs, dance tunes, Scottish, Irish and English traditional folk music.

Andrea Wild grew up in Liverpool with her Welsh speaking mother and grandparents (Nain and Taid). An experienced singer and performer, Andrea now resides in Portland, Oregon. The mission of her band Andrea Wild & The Bad Wolves is to build a bridge through music back to the Welsh family roots, language, music and culture she was immersed in during childhood.

Together with uilleann piper and fiddler, Preston Howard Wilde and multi-instrumentalist, Zac Leger The Bad Wolves create inspired arrangements of traditional Welsh folk music.  With ipipes, Irish bouzouki, guitar, fiddle, whistles, accordion and vocal harmonies infused with elements from the Breton and Cornish music traditions, The Bad Wolves generate their own unique pan-Celtic sound which is continually growing and evolving.
