Both Wild

It all begins here with brother-sister Andrea and Straford Wild. Both Wild ---  the quintessential sibling duo. Only a year apart in age. Growing up in Liverpool singing together. As children, performing for family and friends and forced into talent shows in North Wales. Later, their shared love for traditional folk music takes them to folk clubs across the UK and their quest for adventure leads them from the Isle of Skye to Penzance singing along the way.

Both Wild comes to the US performing at festivals, pubs and clubs. A chance meeting with Oregon Symphony cellist, Jim Smith sparks Both Wild the trio. Their collaborative CD recording Just Say Nevoth is dedicated to Nain, their Welsh grandmother. What does that mean? Nevoth is a phonetic spelling of the Welsh word nefoedd meaning heavens. A word Nain used sometimes in exasperation!

Today, despite now living on opposite sides of the US, the sibling duo Both Wild continues to perform. Recent appearances include Oregon Welsh Society, Pacific Northwest Cornish Society, Welsh Society of Western New England and Rhyl Folk Club.

“The plygain they sang were soulful and pulled at the hiraeth of our hearts. Andrea and Straford were warmly applauded and celebrated” Susan Jenkins Meers, Ninnau North American Welsh newspaper, Jan 2019
